Writing Prompt: What’s one feature that would make your life navigating social media more easily?
In fact, this recent increase of hate crimes against Asians is only a small portion of the hate that Asians have received in America that has roots as far back as in the 19th century, when 19 Chinese residents were killed by a mob in Los Angeles, or the Japanese internment camps during the second world war.
Writing/Reflection Prompt: Where are you in your journey of learning more about anti-Asian racism, and showing up in solidarity with the Asian community?
I spent years swimming in the narrative of caffeine without noticing how strongly it prevailed until I had to set boundaries around it. Listen, I love coffee, and I drink it daily. Yet, I also strictly set limits for the time at which I drink this beverage.
Writing Prompt: What narratives or beliefs are you letting go of in order to move forward?
Q: What’s one feature that would make your life navigating social media more easily?
A: Instagram reverting back to it's original form. I used to find it relaxing, but this weird mix of Tik Tok and SkyMall magazine isn't doing it for me.
