[Prompts!3] Good Sentences, Mental Health, and Intentionally Daring Grammatical Errors
Come smash writer's block with these writing prompts!
💡✍ What makes a good sentence?
Do you experience those moments when you revisit the highlights of a book, and you wonder why you highlighted them in the first place?
💡✍ How do you balance systemic change for mental health vs. your own steps towards well-being?
Mindfulness, meditation, and staying in the present moment are not going to solve our mental health crisis or end homelessness. While social workers are working directly with service users who are suffering from mental illness, we need to also make sure we are taking a structural approach to our practice and advocating up the corporate ladder for sustainable change.
💡✍ Break a grammar rule and make it an intentional statement that illustrates something deeper.
The first two errors were easy. Clearly “threee” and “erors” were typos. But, as the initial sense of excitement wore off, you panic. You’re not sure what the third error is.
I intentionally broke a grammar rule when I left a critical review of a former employer on Glassdoor. I did it to help conceal my identity 🤷♂️
